Character Compass is operated by Simon Asmus, based in Ontario, Canada (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, which which explain how we collect, use, and protect your information and manage technologies such as cookies.

Character Compass provides:

• Values-based orientation sessions

• Personal development and reflective processes

• Individual and group coaching experiences

• Creation of personalized “Orientation Summaries” based on user-provided information

• Educational content, tools, and resources

These Services are designed to support awareness, clarity, and personal development.

They are not medical, psychological, or therapeutic services.

3. Not Medical or Professional Advice

All content and Services are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• The Services do not constitute medical, psychological, therapeutic, or clinical advice

• No diagnosis, treatment, or cure is provided

• You are solely responsible for your decisions, actions, and outcomes

• You should seek appropriate licensed professionals where needed

We do not guarantee specific outcomes, results, or changes from participation in the Services. The process is reflective and experiential in nature, and outcomes will vary based on the individual.

4. User Responsibility

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information

• Use the Services for lawful and personal purposes

• Take full responsibility for how you interpret and apply any insights, reflections, or materials provided through the Services

Participation in the Services is voluntary.

All decisions and actions taken based on participation in the Services are your sole responsibility.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase or independently use the Services.

Individuals aged 13–17 may only participate:

• Through a parent or legal guardian

• With the parent or guardian acting as the primary client

We reserve the right to refuse service where appropriate consent cannot be confirmed.

6. Payments, Pricing, and Taxes

All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.

• Applicable taxes (including HST where required) may be added or included

• Payments are processed through third-party providers (e.g., Stripe)

• You agree to provide accurate payment information

Unless otherwise specified:

• All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law

7. Third-Party Services

We use third-party platforms to deliver parts of the Services, including:

• Zoom

• Stripe

• FG Funnels

• Google Analytics

• Zoho Mail

We are not responsible for:

• Interruptions or failures caused by these platforms

• Their independent policies or practices

8. Social Media

Character Compass may share content or communicate through third-party platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

Your use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for their operation, availability, or practices.

9. Affiliate Disclosure

From time to time, we may share tools, resources, or products.

We do not guarantee results from any third-party products or services. You are responsible for evaluating them before use.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, frameworks, methodologies, and concepts associated with Character Compass—including but not limited to:

• The Character Compass framework

• The Map of What Matters

• Values Orientation processes

• Orientation Summaries and supporting materials

• Written, visual, and digital content

are the intellectual property of Simon Asmus (operating as Character Compass), unless otherwise stated, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services and materials for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify materials

• Use content for commercial purposes

• Share, resell, or redistribute access to the Services

• Create derivative works based on the frameworks or materials

11. Map of What Matters

As part of the Services, you may provide information that contributes to the development of a broader conceptual and/or visual project referred to as the “Map of What Matters.”

By participating in the Services, you understand and agree that:

• Your contributions may be used in an anonymized and aggregated form

• No personally identifying information will be shared without your explicit consent

• The Map of What Matters, including any collective outputs, visual representations, or related works, remains the intellectual property of Character Compass

Your individual Orientation Summary and personal information remain private and are not shared publicly without your consent.

We may use anonymized and non-identifiable information derived from participant responses for the purposes of improving the Services, research, or illustrative examples.

12. Personal Outputs

Orientation Summaries and related materials:

• Are based on information you provide

• Are intended for personal use

No guarantees are made regarding interpretation, accuracy, or outcomes.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for:

• Decisions or actions you take based on the Services

• Indirect or consequential damages

• Loss of income, opportunity, or outcomes

Your use of the Services is at your own risk.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Simon Asmus and Character Compass from any claims or liabilities arising from:

• Your use of the Services

• Your breach of these Terms

15. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time.

You may stop using the Services at any time.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada.
